The DT & NT System:
☀ DT = Diurnum Tempus (Day Time)
☾ NT = Nocturnum Tempus (Night Time)
- Sunrise: 06:00:00 DT
- Solar Midday: 12:00:00 DT
- Sunset: 06:00:00 NT
- Solar Midnight: 12:00:00 NT
Daylight spans 06:00 to 05:59 DT.
Nighttime spans 06:00 to 05:59 NT.
Welcome to the Future of Time!
Why should the clock dictate when the day starts and ends? And why use clunky AM and PM? Under Elastic Daylight Time (EDT), we align time directly with nature:
Sunrise: Always pegged at exactly 06:00:00 DT (Diurnum Tempus / Day Time)
Sunset: Always pegged at exactly 06:00:00 NT (Nocturnum Tempus / Night Time)
No More AM / PM: Replaced entirely by solar-aligned 12-hour cycles (06:00 to 05:59 DT and NT)!
The Elastisecond (es): We introduce the elastisecond (es), allowing the International System of Units (SI) to keep their standard seconds (s). Exactly 43,200 es make up each daytime and nighttime!
